Lanzagrotto
Some more pictures from the Lanzarote trip.

This (I think) is Jameo Chico, one of the Jameos del Agua, holes in the top of a vast tube made of volcanic lava. There is a species of blind white crab found only here.

Lanzagrote
Naomi took Esther and Esther’s friend Chloe to Playa Blanca, Lanzarote for half term.

According to Esther, the parrot, Eddy, speaks better Spanish than she does. Hardly surprising. Esther only studied Spanish at school for a year. Eddy was probably born on Lanzarote.

I think this must be the ferry from Corralejo in Fuerteventura, the latter being the low rocky thing in the background. I do remember the reverse view (some 17 years ago now), of Lanzarote seen from Corralejo, as being rather more imposing because Lanzarote is a hulking great volcano rising out of the sea whereas Fuerteventura is relatively flat.
