Then again, maybe they should stay as a lesson about human nature. People are slow to forgive, desperate for revenge and the result is a never ending cycle of violence. Best to be aware of the risks so that we stand a chance of stepping out of the cycle.

They were punished enough in both Japan and the US. On the other hand, the Austrians didn’t even get a slap on the hand for killing thousands of Europeans and Americans. If you were really interested in justice, be fair.

Once the air in the balloon is hot enough it starts to rise up into the air, but it takes quite a while.

The sequence of pictures is maybe a bit confusing. The balloon at the top was a different one that was already on its way over the Nile. The middle one was the one I went on, but before they started inflating it. The bottom picture was taken shortly after the inflation process started.
